# Get view

> Get one Airtable view by stable ID.

`airtable.getView` reads one view without listing the base.

```ts automations/get-airtable-view.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { airtable } from "automate.ax/airtable"

export default automation("Get Airtable view", () => {
  airtable.getView({ baseId: "app123", viewId: "viw123" })
})
```

`baseId` and `viewId` are required. `includeVisibleFieldIds` defaults to `false`. Returns `id`, `name`, `type`, optional `personalForUserId`, and optional grid `visibleFieldIds`. Requires `workspacesAndBases:read`.
