# On field created

> Run when Airtable creates a field.

`airtable.onFieldCreated` provides the new field's table, ID, name, and type.

import { airtable } from "automate.ax/airtable"

export default automation("Track Airtable fields", () => {
  const event = airtable.onFieldCreated({ baseId: "app123" })
  // Configure the new Airtable field.
})
```

`baseId` is required; `account` defaults to the project binding. The event includes `tableId`, `fieldId`, `field`, and the common Airtable event fields. Requires `webhook:manage` and `schema.bases:read`.
