# On table created

> Run when Airtable creates a table.

`airtable.onTableCreated` provides the new table's metadata and field definitions.

import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { airtable } from "automate.ax/airtable"

export default automation("Track Airtable tables", () => {
  const event = airtable.onTableCreated({ baseId: "app123" })
  // Configure the new Airtable table.
})
```

`baseId` is required; `account` defaults to the project binding. The event adds `tableId`, optional `metadata`, and `fields` keyed by field ID to the common Airtable event fields. Requires `webhook:manage` and `schema.bases:read`.
