# On table updated

> Run when Airtable renames a table or changes its description.

`airtable.onTableUpdated` emits current and previous metadata fields.

import { airtable } from "automate.ax/airtable"

export default automation("Track Airtable table updates", () => {
  const event = airtable.onTableUpdated({ baseId: "app123" })
  // Reconcile the updated Airtable table metadata.
})
```

`baseId` is required; `account` defaults to the project binding. The event includes `tableId`, `current`, `previous`, and the common Airtable event fields. Requires `webhook:manage` and `schema.bases:read`.
