# Actor build failed

> Starts when a build for one Apify Actor fails.

`apify.onActorBuildFailed` starts when a build for one Apify Actor fails.

## Example

```ts automations/apify-on-actor-build-failed.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { apify } from "automate.ax/apify"
export default automation("Actor build failed", () => {
  const event = apify.onActorBuildFailed({ actorId: "actor-id" })
  event.resource.id
})
```

## Inputs

`actorId` is the provider ID from the Actor's Apify Console URL.

Pass `account` to select a named Apify account. The token must be able to create webhooks and read the selected Actor.

## Output

Returns `eventType`, `createdAt`, `userId`, `eventData` with `actorId` and `actorBuildId`, plus the normalized Actor build in `resource`. Build dates are ISO 8601 strings.

This trigger subscribes to Apify's `FAILED` webhook event. Automate.ax manages the resource-scoped webhook, authenticates its secret header, and deduplicates retries by Apify dispatch ID. Each authenticated delivery starts an ordinary root context.
