# Skip task

> Skip an Apollo task and optionally record a reason.

`skipTask` marks one task skipped.

import { skipTask } from "automate.ax/apollo"

export default automation("Skip an Apollo task", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })

`task` is required; `note` is optional. `reindexImmediately` defaults to
`false`; set it when task search must reflect the skip immediately. Optional
`account` selects the binding. Returns the updated `ApolloTask`.
