# Delete task

> Permanently delete an Asana task.

`deleteTask` permanently removes a task. Completing a task is the reversible alternative.

```

`taskId` is required; optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns `Signal<void>`. Asana permission checks apply, and deletion cannot be undone.
