# Get attachment

> Get an Asana attachment and its download metadata.

`asana.getAttachment` get an Asana attachment and its download metadata.

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { asana } from "automate.ax/asana"

export default automation("Get attachment", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get attachment" })
  asana.getAttachment({ attachmentId: "attachment-gid" })
})
```

Provide `attachmentId`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Asana binding.

Returns the normalized attachment, including available download, view, permanent URL, host, size, parent, and creation metadata.
