# Get custom field

> Get an Asana custom-field definition and its enum options.

`asana.getCustomField` get an Asana custom-field definition and its enum options.

import { asana } from "automate.ax/asana"

export default automation("Get custom field", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get custom field" })
  asana.getCustomField({ customFieldId: "custom-field-gid" })
})
```

Provide `customFieldId`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Asana binding.

Returns the normalized custom field, including subtype, formatting metadata, and enum options.
