# List task stories

> List activity stories and comments for an Asana task.

`listTaskStories` reads the task activity stream, including user comments and system stories.

```ts automations/list-asana-stories.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { listTaskStories } from "automate.ax/asana"
export default automation("List Asana task stories", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  listTaskStories({ taskId: "task-gid", limit: 100 })
})
```

`taskId` is required. `limit` is 1–100 and defaults to `100`; `offset` continues from `pageInfo.nextOffset`; optional `account` defaults to the project binding.

Returns `Signal<{ stories: AsanaStory[]; pageInfo: { nextOffset?: string } }>`; a story includes `id`, text and optional HTML, creator and timestamps, subtype, and edited/pinned state. Not every story is an editable comment.
