# Move task to section

> Move an Asana task into a project section and optionally position it.

`moveTaskToSection` places an existing task in a destination section.

```ts automations/move-asana-task.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { moveTaskToSection } from "automate.ax/asana"
export default automation("Move Asana task", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  moveTaskToSection({ taskId: "task-gid", sectionId: "review-section-gid" })
})
```

`taskId` and `sectionId` are required. Optional `insertAfterTaskId` or `insertBeforeTaskId` controls ordering; supply at most one. Optional `account` defaults to the project binding.

Returns `Signal<void>`. The task must belong to the section's project or be eligible for Asana to add through that section.
