# Set task completed

> Mark an Asana task complete or incomplete.

`setTaskCompleted` is the focused completion action.

```ts automations/complete-asana-task.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { setTaskCompleted } from "automate.ax/asana"
export default automation("Complete Asana task", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  setTaskCompleted({ taskId: "task-gid" })
})
```

`taskId` is required. `completed` defaults to `true`; pass `false` to reopen. Optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns the updated `AsanaTask`, including completion timestamp and user when Asana supplies them.
