# Update custom-field enum option

> Update or disable an Asana custom-field enum option.

`asana.updateCustomFieldEnumOption` update or disable an Asana custom-field enum option.

import { asana } from "automate.ax/asana"

export default automation("Update custom-field enum option", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update custom-field enum option" })
  asana.updateCustomFieldEnumOption({ optionId: "option-gid", enabled: false })
})
```

Provide `optionId` and at least one of `name`, `color`, or `enabled`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Asana binding.

Returns the updated enum option. Disable an option to preserve existing task values without allowing new selections.
