# Get automation

> Get one active Automate.ax automation.

`automate.getAutomation` gets one active automation by descriptor, description, or ID.

import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { automate } from "automate.ax/automate"

export default automation("Inspect automation", () => {
  automate.getAutomation({ automation: "auto_123" })
})
```

`automation` accepts an imported automation descriptor, exact ID, or unique deployed description. The result includes its project, enabled state, triggers, and integration account bindings. The action requires `project:read`.
