# Get Browserbase extension

> Read metadata for one uploaded Chrome extension.

`browserbase.getExtension` reads metadata for one uploaded Chrome extension. Inputs accept literal values or compatible signals. An optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Browserbase binding.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation, onInvocation } from "automate.ax"
import { browserbase } from "automate.ax/browserbase"
export default automation("Get Browserbase extension", () => {
  onInvocation()
  browserbase.getExtension({ extensionId: "extension-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

| Input         | Type     | Required | Default | Description               |
| ------------- | -------- | -------- | ------- | ------------------------- |
| `extensionId` | `string` | Yes      | —       | Browserbase extension ID. |

## Output

Returns the extension ID, filename, project, and timestamps.

The API does not return the extension archive.
