# Search the web with Browserbase

> Run a Browserbase web search and receive structured results.

`browserbase.searchWeb` runs a Browserbase web search and receives structured results. Inputs accept literal values or compatible signals. An optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Browserbase binding.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation, onInvocation } from "automate.ax"
import { browserbase } from "automate.ax/browserbase"
export default automation("Search the web with Browserbase", () => {
  onInvocation()
  browserbase.searchWeb({ query: "Automate.ax", numResults: 10 })
})
```

## Inputs

| Input        | Type     | Required | Default | Description                             |
| ------------ | -------- | -------- | ------- | --------------------------------------- |
| `query`      | `string` | Yes      | —       | Search query, 1 through 200 characters. |
| `numResults` | `number` | No       | `10`    | Result count, 1 through 25.             |

## Output

Returns the executed query, request ID, and result URLs, titles, and optional metadata.

Searches may consume plan quota and are not replay-safe.
