# Get event type

> Retrieves one personal Cal.com event type.

`calcom.getEventType` retrieves one personal Cal.com event type.

## Input

Pass these fields:

| `eventTypeId` | `integer` | Yes      | Must be greater than 0. |

## Output

The action removes the outer Cal.com status envelope. The result is either a personal event type or a team event type. Team results add team ownership, hosts, and assignment configuration; do not assume those fields after retrieving a personal event type.

Cal.com enforces account role, plan, and availability requirements. Provider rejections surface as structured action failures with the HTTP status and any `Retry-After` delay.
