# Request booking reschedule

> Requests that an attendee choose a new time.

`calcom.requestBookingReschedule` requests that an attendee choose a new time.

## Input and output

Pass the booking `bookingUid` and an optional `rescheduleReason`. The action returns Cal.com's `{ status }` response.

Cal.com enforces account role, plan, and availability requirements. Provider rejections surface as structured action failures with the HTTP status and any `Retry-After` delay.
