# Create task

> Creates a task in a ClickUp List.

`clickUp.createTask` creates a task in a ClickUp List.

import { clickUp } from "automate.ax/clickup"

export default automation("Create task", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Create task" })
  clickUp.createTask({

})
```

## Inputs

`listId` and non-empty `name`; optional description or Markdown, dates, status, priority, assignees, tags, estimates, Custom Fields, and notification settings. Every action accepts an optional static `account` binding.

## Output

Returns the created `ClickUpTask`.
