# Create time entry

> Creates a completed time entry in a ClickUp Workspace.

`clickUp.createTimeEntry` creates a completed time entry in a ClickUp Workspace.

## Inputs

`workspaceId`, millisecond `start`, and integer `duration`; optional end, task, description, assignee, billable state, and tags. Each tag requires `name`, `tagFg`, and `tagBg`. Every action accepts an optional static `account` binding.

## Output

Returns ClickUp's creation result with the submitted timing, assignment, task, billable state, description, and tags. ClickUp does not return the new time-entry ID from this endpoint.
