# Get task

> Gets one ClickUp task.

`clickUp.getTask` gets one ClickUp task.

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { clickUp } from "automate.ax/clickup"

export default automation("Get task", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get task" })
  clickUp.getTask({ taskId: "task-id", includeSubtasks: true })
})
```

## Inputs

`taskId`; optional `includeSubtasks` and `includeMarkdownDescription` default to `false`. Every action accepts an optional static `account` binding.

## Output

Returns a `ClickUpTask`.
