# Update List

> Updates a ClickUp List.

`clickUp.updateList` updates a ClickUp List.

```ts automations/clickup-update-list.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { clickUp } from "automate.ax/clickup"

export default automation("Update List", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update List" })
  clickUp.updateList({ listId: "list-id", name: "Ready" })
})
```

## Inputs

`listId` and non-empty `name`; optional content, Markdown content, assignee, due date, priority, status, or `unsetStatus`. Every action accepts an optional static `account` binding.

## Output

Returns the updated `ClickUpList`.
