# Delete lead

> Permanently delete a Close lead.

`close.deleteLead` permanently delete a Close lead.

import { close } from "automate.ax/close"

export default automation("Delete lead", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Delete lead" })
  close.deleteLead({ leadId: "lead_abc123" })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide the `leadId` to remove. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Close binding.

## Output

Returns `{ deleted: true, leadId }` after Close accepts the deletion. This permanently removes the lead and its child records.
