# Delete task

> Permanently delete a Close task.

`close.deleteTask` permanently delete a Close task.

```ts automations/close-delete-task.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { close } from "automate.ax/close"

export default automation("Delete task", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Delete task" })
  close.deleteTask({ taskId: "task_abc123" })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide the `taskId` to remove. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Close binding.

## Output

Returns `{ deleted: true, taskId }` after Close accepts the deletion.
