# Get task

> Retrieve one Close task by ID.

`close.getTask` retrieve one Close task by ID.

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { close } from "automate.ax/close"

export default automation("Get task", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get task" })
  close.getTask({ taskId: "task_abc123" })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide the stable Close `taskId`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Close binding.

## Output

Returns a `CloseTask`, including its subtype, assignment, due dates, completion state, lead, and contact.
