# Update opportunity

> Update a Close opportunity.

`close.updateOpportunity` updates a Close opportunity.

## Inputs

Provide `opportunityId` and at least one mutable field: attachments, confidence, contact, custom fields, won date, notes, status, owner, value, or value period. Choose `status` or `statusId`, not both. `dateWon` accepts a `Date` or offset ISO timestamp. An opportunity cannot be moved to another lead. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a named Close binding.

## Output

Returns the updated `CloseOpportunity`.
