# On Close comment deleted

> Run when Close permanently deletes a comment during thread cleanup.

`close.onCommentDeleted` starts an automation when Close permanently deletes a comment during comment-thread cleanup. Close reports ordinary user and API removals through `close.onCommentUpdated` instead.

  // Remove state tied to the deleted Close comment.

Optional static `account` selects a named binding. `data` is `null`; use `objectId`, `leadId`, and `previousData` from the Close event envelope. Use `close.onCommentUpdated` for ordinary removals, where `data.body` is `null`.
