# On Close event

> Run for every event selection accepted by Close webhooks.

`close.onEvent` runs for every object and action pair that Close's webhook subscription API accepts.

Optional static `account` selects a named Close binding; the project binding is the default. Automate.ax creates and maintains the Close webhook and verifies each delivery with Close's signing secret.

Returns the normalized broad `CloseEvent` envelope. Use `objectType` and `action` to route uncommon Close event families. Close's Event Log also documents `activity.lead_merge.created`, `activity.lead_merge.updated`, `activity.lead_merge.deleted`, and `comment_thread.updated`, but its webhook subscription API rejects those selections, so this trigger cannot receive them. All semantic events preserve the shared [Close event envelope](/reference/integrations/close/triggers/on-close-event#trigger-data).
