# On Close lead merged

> Run when Close merges leads.

`close.onLeadMerged` run when Close merges leads.

```ts automations/on-close-lead-merged.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { close } from "automate.ax/close"
export default automation("On Close lead merged", () => {
  const event = close.onLeadMerged()
  // Reconcile records tied to the merged Close lead.
})
```

Optional static `account` selects a named Close binding; the project binding is the default. Automate.ax creates and maintains the Close webhook and verifies each delivery with Close's signing secret.

Returns a `CloseEvent` whose `data` is the resulting `CloseLead`. Inspect `meta` and `previousData` for provider merge details when available. All semantic events preserve the shared [Close event envelope](/reference/integrations/close/triggers/on-close-event#trigger-data).
