# On Close Smart View updated

> Run when Close updates a Smart View definition.

`close.onSmartViewUpdated` runs when Close updates a Smart View's basic fields, such as its name, `isShared` state, or query.

```ts automations/on-close-smart-view-updated.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { close } from "automate.ax/close"
export default automation("On Close Smart View updated", () => {
  const event = close.onSmartViewUpdated()
  // Sync changes from the updated Close Smart View.
})
```

Optional static `account` selects a named Close binding; the project binding is the default. Returns a normalized [Close event envelope](/reference/integrations/close/triggers/on-close-event#trigger-data) whose `data` contains the updated Smart View snapshot.

Close does not emit this provider event when the leads matching a Smart View change. Use `close.onLeadEnteredSmartView` or `close.onLeadExitedSmartView` for membership changes.

Close also does not emit this event for changes limited to the Smart View's `sharedWith` field.
