# Update lead instance

> Update the follow-up time for a CloseBot lead's bot instance.

`closeBot.updateLeadInstance` changes the follow-up time associated with one bot in a conversation.

## Inputs

Provide `leadId`, `botId`, and `followUpTime`. Pass `null` to clear the scheduled follow-up.

## Output

Returns `null` after CloseBot accepts the update.
