# Create DNS record

> Creates a DNS record.

`cloudflare.createDnsRecord` creates a DNS record.

import { cloudflare } from "automate.ax/cloudflare"

export default automation("Create DNS record", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Create DNS record" })
  cloudflare.createDnsRecord({
    zoneId: "zone-id",

    name: "www.example.com",
    content: "192.0.2.1",
  })
})
```

Provide `zoneId`, `type`, `name`, and either `content` or structured `data`. `ttl` defaults to automatic (`1`). Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns the created record.
