# Delete DNS record

> Deletes one DNS record.

`cloudflare.deleteDnsRecord` deletes one DNS record.

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { cloudflare } from "automate.ax/cloudflare"

export default automation("Delete DNS record", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Delete DNS record" })
  cloudflare.deleteDnsRecord({ zoneId: "zone-id", recordId: "record-id" })
})
```

`zoneId` and `recordId` are required. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns the deleted record ID.
