# Delete zone

> Deletes a Cloudflare zone.

`cloudflare.deleteZone` deletes a Cloudflare zone.

```ts automations/cloudflare-delete-zone.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { cloudflare } from "automate.ax/cloudflare"

export default automation("Delete zone", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Delete zone" })
  cloudflare.deleteZone({ zoneId: "zone-id" })
})
```

`zoneId` is required. This permanently removes the zone from the account. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns the deleted zone ID.
