# Create webhook

> Create an incoming webhook in a Discord channel.

`discord.createWebhook` create an incoming webhook in a Discord channel.

```ts automations/discord-create-webhook.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { discord } from "automate.ax/discord"
export default automation("Create webhook", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  discord.createWebhook({
    channelId: "234567890123456789",
    name: "Release events",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Required `channelId` and 1–80 character `name`. Names cannot contain `Discord` or `Clyde`, case-insensitively. Optional image `avatarDataUri` and audit-log `reason`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Discord binding.

## Output

Returns the created `DiscordWebhook` without its token or executable URL.

## Discord behavior

Requires `MANAGE_WEBHOOKS`. Automate.ax intentionally does not expose the returned webhook token or token-bearing URL.
