# Delete channel permission

> Delete a Discord channel permission overwrite.

`discord.deleteChannelPermission` removes one role or member permission overwrite.

## Inputs

Required `channelId` and `overwriteId`; the overwrite ID is the affected role or user ID. Optional `reason` populates the server audit log. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Discord binding.

## Output

Returns nothing after Discord deletes the overwrite.

## Discord behavior

Requires `MANAGE_ROLES`. Deleting the overwrite restores inherited channel permissions.
