# Delete message

> Delete one Discord channel message.

`discord.deleteMessage` delete one Discord channel message.

## Inputs

Required channel and message IDs; optional audit-log `reason`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Discord binding.

## Output

Returns no value after Discord accepts the deletion.

## Discord behavior

Deleting another author's message requires `MANAGE_MESSAGES`.
