# Remove thread member

> Remove a Discord user from a thread.

`discord.removeThreadMember` removes one user from a Discord thread.

  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  discord.removeThreadMember({

```

## Inputs

Required `threadId` and `userId`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Discord binding.

## Output

Returns nothing after Discord accepts the membership change.

## Discord behavior

Removing another user requires the appropriate thread-management permission. Use `discord.leaveThread` for the connected bot.
