# Reply to message

> Send a Discord message that references another message.

`discord.replyToMessage` send a Discord message that references another message.

export default automation("Reply to message", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  discord.replyToMessage({

```

## Inputs

Required `channelId`, `messageId`, and `content`. `failIfNotExists` defaults to `true`; `tts` and `suppressEmbeds` are optional. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Discord binding.

## Output

Returns the created reply `DiscordMessage`.

## Discord behavior

The referenced message must be in the same channel unless `failIfNotExists` is disabled.
