# On application authorized

> Start an automation when a user authorizes your Discord application.

`discord.onApplicationAuthorized` receives `APPLICATION_AUTHORIZED` after a user installs the application to a server or their account.

  const event = discord.onApplicationAuthorized()
  // Store the user, server, and scopes in your application install registry.
})
```

The payload includes the authorizing `user`, granted `scopes`, optional `guild`, and optional `integrationType`. Optional `account` selects the Discord application.
