# Compose music

> Composes a music track from a text prompt.

`elevenLabs.composeMusic` requires `prompt`. `modelId` defaults to `music_v1`, `outputFormat` to `auto`, `forceInstrumental` to `false`, and `signWithC2pa` to `false`. `musicLengthMs` can request 3–600 seconds. It returns a generated `File`.
