# Convert speech

> Changes a speaker's voice while preserving delivery.

`elevenLabs.convertSpeech` requires an audio `File` and `voiceId`. `modelId` defaults to `eleven_english_sts_v2`, `outputFormat` to `mp3_44100_128`, `fileFormat` to `other`, and `removeBackgroundNoise` to `false`. `voiceSettings` and `seed` are optional. It returns the converted audio as a `File`.
