# Create sound effect

> Generates a sound effect from a text description.

`elevenLabs.createSoundEffect` requires `text`. `modelId` defaults to `eleven_text_to_sound_v2`, `outputFormat` to `mp3_44100_128`, `promptInfluence` to `0.3`, and `loop` to `false`. `durationSeconds` can be 0.5–30 seconds. It returns a generated `File`.
