# Isolate audio

> Removes background sound from speech.

`elevenLabs.isolateAudio` requires an audio or video `File`. `fileFormat` defaults to `other` and can be set to `pcm_s16le_16` for raw PCM input. It returns the isolated speech as an MP3 `File`.
