# On GitHub check suite startup failed

> Start an automation when a GitHub check suite cannot start.

`github.onCheckSuiteStartupFailed` starts an automation for a completed check suite with conclusion `"startup_failure"`.

Returns the typed payload with `check_suite.conclusion: "startup_failure"`. Requires Checks read permission.
