# On GitHub issue comment created

> Run when a GitHub issue or pull request comment is created.

`github.onIssueCommentCreated` emits `issue_comment` payloads with `action: "created"`.

```ts automations/github-comment-created.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("GitHub comment created", () => {
  const event = github.onIssueCommentCreated()
  // Send the GitHub issue comment to its owner.
})
```

Returns the full comment, issue or pull request, repository, sender, and installation payload. Requires Issues read permission.
