# On GitHub issue comment deleted

> Run when a GitHub issue or pull request comment is deleted.

`github.onIssueCommentDeleted` emits `issue_comment` payloads with `action: "deleted"`.

```ts automations/github-comment-deleted.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("GitHub comment deleted", () => {
  const event = github.onIssueCommentDeleted()
  // Send the GitHub issue comment to its owner.
})
```

Returns GitHub's deleted-comment snapshot with its issue or pull request context. Requires Issues read permission.
