# On GitHub issue comment edited

> Run when a GitHub issue or pull request comment is edited.

`github.onIssueCommentEdited` emits `issue_comment` payloads with `action: "edited"`.

```ts automations/github-comment-edited.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("GitHub comment edited", () => {
  const event = github.onIssueCommentEdited()
  // Send the GitHub issue comment to its owner.
})
```

Returns the edited comment and `changes.body.from` when GitHub supplies the previous body. Requires Issues read permission.
