# On GitHub issue added to milestone

> Run an automation when a GitHub issue is added to a milestone.

`github.onIssueMilestoned` emits issue events with action `"milestoned"`.

export default automation("Watch GitHub issue milestoned", () => {
  const event = github.onIssueMilestoned()
  // Sync the GitHub issue to the external tracker.

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns the typed GitHub issue webhook payload with `action: "milestoned"`. The installation needs Issues read permission and repository access.
