# On GitHub merge group event

> Run for GitHub merge queue group activity.

`github.onMergeGroupEvent` subscribes to merge-group activity.

import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("Watch GitHub merge group event", () => {
  const event = github.onMergeGroupEvent()
  // Update the GitHub merge queue.
})
```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns typed GitHub `merge_group` payloads. Requires Merge queues read permission and repository access.
